FASHIONART

Fashion or art?

The trend is both.

Telling great stories, making us hallucinate, Gucci is the pioneer team in the field.
Dressing the people of tomorrow, Gucci makes fashion an art in itself. The artist Ignasi Monreal has created the photorealist artworks in the images of the campaign 'Utopian Fantasy".  The campaign combined the three elements, earth, sea and sky resulting in images that recall Renaissance artwork and Hyperrealism.

In the latest collection Alessandro Michele's metaphor of how people construct their identity through tech was mind-blowing. Radiating cross-cultural meanings, reaches a great audience. At some point the campaign is disturbing and even creepy. Baby dragons, replicas of models' heads tucked under their arms. Crystal headpieces to die for.

“We are the Dr. Frankenstein of our lives,” said Michele. “There’s a clinical clarity about what I am doing. I was thinking of a space that represents the creative act. I wanted to represent the lab I have in my head. It’s physical work, like a surgeon’s.”
